SEDA Membership is based on an annual membership from January 1 – December 31 each year. However, if an application is received after October 1, membership benefits shall extend to the end of the following year. To apply for membership, either open the new online membership portal that will make it quick and easy to join and renew your dues or fill out the SEDA Membership Application.

Membership Levels

Division I Membership

What does the A, B and C part mean? Division 1A = Public Agencies, Industrial Users and Water Suppliers to End Users Division 1B = Certified Water Operator Division 1C = Certified Wastewater Operator

What are the special benefits of the 1A division membership?

  • Division 1A memberships include 6 members, 1 primary member, and 5 additional members with their membership renewal. The designated Division 1A primary member will have discretion upon application and each year at renewal to designate who will receive the additional Division 1B, 1C, or 3B memberships that are included with their Primary membership.

Division II Membership

Manufacturers, Suppliers and Consulting Firms/Engineers/Architects
What does the A and B part mean? Division 2A = Large Companies (5 employees or more) Division 2B = Small Companies (fewer than 5 employees)

What are the special benefits of this division membership?

  • Discounted rates on SEDA publications, advertising, sponsorship, and tradeshow exhibit opportunities
  • SEDA will provide a link from SEDA’s website to the company’s website

Division III Membership

What does the A, B, C and D part mean? Division 3A = Individuals, Well-wishers, Libraries Division 3B = Non- Certified Individuals affiliated with a paid Division 1A Member Division 3C = Individuals affiliated with a paid Division 2A or 2B Member Division 3D = Students

What are the limits to this division membership?

  • No organization recognition in the Annual Membership Directory for 3A Individual members
  • Discounted rates for SEDA or AMTA sponsored events and SEDA publications are for the individual member only
  • Individuals are not eligible to sponsor or exhibit at SEDA or AMTA sponsored events
  • Membership for Division 3A is non-transferrable

Benefits of Membership

Educational Symposiums, Workshops, and Membrane Operator Certification (MOC) Schools

  • SEDA conducts seminars, symposiums, technical workshops, and membrane operator certification (MOC) short schools in the Southeastern United States. Sessions focus on operational and maintenance issues, regulation updates, management issues, membrane technology, case studies and histories, and other important topics.
  • SEDA members receive discounted rates to attend any SEDA Symposiums, Workshops, MOCs, and other Co-Sponsored Event

Publications and Networking

  • SEDA members receive a quarterly publication “Recovery Zone”, which is mailed and provides up-to-date information on operations and maintenance items for membrane facilities, regulations matters, new projects, activities, and other items of interest in the desalting industry
  • SEDA provides a platform for discussion on its website for membrane operators

Elections

  • SEDA members are eligible to run for the SEDA Board
  • SEDA members are eligible to vote in all SEDA elections

Online Membership List

  • SEDA updates online the current Membership List on a weekly basis, which serves as a usual reference

Additional Benefits for Division 1A and 2A or 2B Members

  • To attract people interested in the membrane technology to the member company, SEDA will provide a link from SEDA’s website to the company’s website.
  • Division 1A will receive additional affiliate members with their membership renewal. The designated Division 1 primary member will have discretion upon application and each year at renewal to designate who will receive the additional Division 1B, 1C, or 3B affiliate memberships that are included with their Primary membership. Each Division 1A will receive a total of 6 memberships, 1 primary, and 5 additional members.
  • Division 2A members are able to have up to five additional employees of the organization register at a SEDA event at the member rate.
  • Division 2B members are able to have up to two additional employees of the organization register at a SEDA event at the member rate.
